Local government elections are being held this October across Victoria.

Councils must comply with special arrangements in the lead up to elections. This is in line with the Local Government Act.

During the election period, we won’t be undertaking general community engagement and you will see a decline in us promoting plans and projects.

This is to ensure council activities aren’t used as a campaigning platform and ensures all candidates standing for election have an equal opportunity to promote themselves.

For the 2020 Council election, the election period is from Tuesday 22 September to 6pm on Saturday 24 October.
