Construction of the next landfill cell at Bairnsdale Regional Landfill. Generally a new landfill cell is required every 2 - 3 years, with Cell 4 being brought forward in the program due to extraordinary demands on existing landfill capacity created by bushfire clean-up activities.
The project will include replacement of the existing access bridge to Bullock Island, Lakes Entrance. The replacement is needed due to structural deterioration of the existing bridge caused be corrosion. The new access bridge, designed for the marine environment, will cater for the Island's commercial needs and also provide greater access for visitors and members of the community, with a shared walking and cycling path on the south side linking to the Esplanade and new paths to be constructed on Bullock Island, in addition to a walking path on the north side.

The current landfill site in Cann River is reaching the end of its life. A new site will be developed to construct a new Transfer Station facility to cater for the needs of the Cann River community. The construction will include multiple bin bays along with improved recycling facilities to ensure waste to landfill is minimised. Construction is scheduled to commence during the 21/22 financial year
In conjunction with an upgrade of public open space adjacent to the Eagle Point Foreshore, the project will create a community and visitor foreshore hub including a network of walking paths, landscaping, playgrounds and a multipurpose “Lakehouse” building offering mixed-use community and commercial functions.

Following the loss of the Genoa Heritage Truss Bridge in the Black Summer Fires, this project will construct a new pedestrian bridge on the original alignment. The look of the replacement bridge is in keeping with the original including its truss spans.

The Lakes Entrance Landfill has reached its capacity. The project includes capping and rehabilitation of the landfill in accordance with an EPA approved design. As part of the project, the transfer station will be brought up to best practice standards to ensure the facility continues to provide for the Lakes Entrance community. Additional bays will be constructed along with improved recycling facilities to ensure waste to landfill is minimised. The project will include other improvements to the site including access roads, hardstand areas and drainage works.
In partnership with Regional Roads Victoria, major streetscaping improvements are being implemented along the length of The Esplanade in Lakes Entrance, including the upgrade of paths, lighting, street furniture, artwork and landscaping.

Upgrade of the Change Rooms and Netball Courts at the Lucknow Recreation Reserve including greatly enhanced facilities for the site including female friendly change facilities. Jointly funded by Council, Australian Sports Commission and Commonwealth Government.
The Mallacoota Seawall project includes upgrade of the seawall located on the foreshore adjacent to the Mallacoota Foreshore Holiday Park. The project will replace areas of seawall currently in poor condition while also providing and increased level of protection from inundation. The project will be completed in stages, with a 200m northern section adjacent to Panoramic Drive comprising Stage 1. Further stages will be completed in 2021/22.
The Omeo Mountain Bike Destination project includes construction of a nationally significant 120km+ mountain bike trail network on the doorstep of town. Stage One comprises the construction of 55 kms of trails identified as 'high priority' within the Omeo Mountain Bike Trail Network Master Plan, in addition to a Pump Track and Skills course located in Livingstone Park and other supporting infrastructure. Three sections of Omeo Valley Road currently in poor condition will be reconstructed, totaling 2.7km. A further 1km section of Limestone Road will be reconstructed. This project is jointly funded with Council and the Roads to Recovery Program, Commonwealth Government.
The project includes the upgrade McMillan Street and Phillips Lane, Bairnsdale, key access to the East Bairnsdale industrial estate. The upgrade includes full road construction, including the installation of stormwater drainage and kerb and channel, to replace open drains. To enable the works, improve drainage capacity within the industrial estate and achieve water quality improvements, the project also includes construction of a wetland on the east side of Philips Lane prior to Jones Bay. The proposed upgrades include a major revitalisation Slip Road boating and maritime precinct. The scope of the project includes seawall works, walking paths, boat ramp improvements, parking, landscaping, and a refresh for the amenities block.
