Our waterways contribute to our economy through industry, tourism, and recreation with over 1 million people visiting East Gippsland each year. We provide and maintain 31 boat launching ramps. To view a list of boat ramps, please visit the Gippsland Ports website.
We maintain 68 seawalls that help protect public infrastructure, foreshore assets and waterfront areas from erosion and wave action, supporting safe and sustainable access to East Gippsland's waterways.
We provide and maintain 24 fishing platforms across the region, giving residents and visitors safe and accessible opportunities to enjoy recreational fishing.
We maintain 21 fish cleaning tables at key boating and fishing locations, supporting recreational fishers and helping keep our waterways and public spaces clean and enjoyable.
We publish Marina Connect, a quarterly newsletter for marina users that is managed through Council Enterprises. Based on the information available, Marina Connect is currently an internal marina communication channel rather than a publicly distributed newsletter.
