Registering your Pet
Under Victorian legislation, all dogs and cats aged three months and over must be microchipped and registered.
Registering your pet, ensuring they wear their Council registration tag, and keeping your contact details up to date are the best ways to keep them safe and help them find their way home if they become lost.
In most cases, registered dogs and cats wearing their Council tag can be returned directly to their owner, avoiding a trip to the animal shelter and any associated fees.
We would much rather see your pet safe and secure at home than wandering on the road or in our care.
