To apply for a position you'll need to submit a cover letter and resume. You may also be asked to provide responses to the key selection criteria.
Cover Letter
Your cover letter should be no longer than one page in length and provide an overview of your skills and experience. This letter explains why you are interested in the position and the reasons why we should hire you.
Resume
A resume outlines your skills, work history, experience, knowledge, and abilities. A strong resume:
- Is customised for the specific job you're applying for
- Uses bullet points to highlight skills acquired from past roles
- Includes clear headings and sub-headings with organised sections including employment history starting with most recent experience, qualifications, education and references
- Spans two to four pages
- Is up to date and relevant.
Using our Recruitment System
We only accept applications made through our online recruitment portal.
By signing up to our online recruitment system you will be able to submit your application, review progress of the roles you’ve applied for and update your personal details.
Closing Date for Applications
Applications close at 11:45pm (AEDT) on the closing date unless otherwise stated. After this time you will not be able to submit an application online.
Withdrawing your Application
You can withdraw your application at any time by logging into your account.
After you Apply
If your application has been successfully uploaded to our online system, you will receive an email notification confirming receipt of your application. If you do not receive a confirmation email, or if you receive an error message, please contact us.

Interviews
After the application deadline for each position, the hiring manager reviews all submissions and typically creates a short list within two (2) weeks.
If your application is shortlisted for an interview, you will receive an email from no_reply@lgss.com.au to select and interview time slot. Please ensure you add this email address to your safe senders list.
Our job interviews are conducted by a panel of 2 to 3 people and follow a structured format. All applicants are asked the same questions, with follow-up questions dependent on responses.

Successful Candidates
If your interview is successful, we'll conduct reference and any other relevant pre-employment checks. If you're then selected for a position, you'll receive a letter of offer.
Unsuccessful Candidates
If you're not shortlisted for an interview, you'll receive an email to let you know that your application has been unsuccessful. However, we encourage you to keep an eye out for jobs that might be of interest and to apply for other roles that you may be suitable for.
