The East Gippsland Livestock Exchange is accredited with National Saleyard Quality Assurance Ltd (NSQA), Meat and Livestock Australia, European Union Cattle Accreditation Scheme (EUCAS) and Meat Standards Australia.

Livestock care is a priority and our management practices and facility design ensure a low-stress environment.

The East Gippsland Livestock Exchange is focused on providing accurate weighing of livestock for our vendors and buyers to ensure confidence in correct weight. Gippsland Scales calibrating twice a year, along with weekly weigh checks using registered weights to ensure full value of stock.

Sales and Fees

Sale Days and Start Times

Prime Cattle: 8.30 am – every Wednesday. Not held late December when abattoirs shut down.

Store Cattle: 9.00 am – every second and fourth Friday of the month (includes Grand Final public holiday)

Sheep: 10.00 am – every two weeks on a Monday. (Held Tuesday or canceled if on a public holiday).
