Sharps Disposal (Needles)

Sharps Container Exchange Program

We offer a free sharps disposal container exchange service. This service is available during business hours for residents of East Gippsland Shire. This sharps disposal service is only available to diabetics and home-care patients who require the use and disposal of needles for medical purposes.

Council’s sharps disposal service is not available for commercial businesses. If you require this service for your business, please contact a licenced waste contactor who can dispose of biohazard material.
