We recently notified the community of a proposal to name a beach access road at Lake Tyers Beach ‘Shelley Beach Lane’. The broader community was invited to provide feedback on this proposal. After considering all feedback received, we have resolved to proceed with the proposed name.

The naming proposal will now be submitted to the Registrar of Geographic Names for consideration and inclusion in VICNAMES – the Register of Geographic Names.

Once endorsed by the Registrar and registered in VICNAMES, we will complete the implementation process, notify all relevant authorities and affected property owners, and update signage accordingly.
