Notice of intent to amend locality boundary, Paynesville and Eagle Point

Under section 206 and Schedule 10(5) of the Local Government Act 1989, Council gave notice of the intention to realign the boundaries between Paynesville and Eagle Point. Further information and details of the affected properties is available on our website.  Notice is now given that Council has endorsed the proposal.

This proposal will now be submitted to Geographic Names Victoria (GNV) for their consideration and endorsement. If you lodged an objection to Council and you would like to appeal this decision, you may do this within 30 days directly to GNV. Appeals can only be made if the objector can demonstrate that either:

•The naming authority did not consider the objection during its deliberations; or

•The proposal does not reasonably conform to the principles and statutory requirements of the naming rules.

Appeals must be made in writing and sent to the Registrar of Geographic Names Victoria, DELWP, PO Box 500, East Melbourne, VIC 3002 or by email to geo.names@delwp.gov.vic.au.  Appeals must be received by Monday 30 November 2020.
