We are proposing to name the new marina at Slip Road, Paynesville, ‘Paynesville Marina’.

Background
Naming this marina is in accordance with Section 3.3 of the Naming Rules for Places in Victoria – Statutory.
The marina consists of two Gippsland Ports-managed boat harbours, two Council-maintained boat ramps and jetties, two jetties with permanent berths, and an additional jetty planned for future development.
The above proposed naming adheres to the Naming Rules and the Australian and New Zealand Standard for rural and urban addressing AS/NZS 4819:2011.

This proposal complies with the Naming Rules for Places in Victoria – Statutory Requirements for Naming Roads, Features and Localities – 2022.
Community members are invited to respond to this proposal before its formal consideration by the Registrar of Geographic Names Victoria.
