Anzac Day

This Anzac Day commemorates the 111th anniversary of the Gallipoli landing in 1915. The enduring spirit of Anzac continues to hold significance within our community, exemplifying the values of courage, mateship, and sacrifice.

We encourage members of the community to observe Anzac Day by attending their local dawn services, marches, and remembrance ceremonies. A schedule of services, including times and locations throughout the region, is provided below:

Bairnsdale
Dawn service: 6.00am – Cenotaph, Main Street
Community wreath laying: 10.00am – Cenotaph
Commemoration: 11.00am – Cenotaph (March from Bailey St at 10.50am)
Additional Service: 12.15pm – War Cemetery, Forge Creek Road

Buchan

Dawn service: 6.00am – Avenue of Honour
Commemoration: 10.00am – Avenue of Honour

Lakes Entrance

Dawn service: 5.45am – Cenotaph, Marine Parade
Commemoration: 11.00am – Cenotaph (March from RSL Carpark at 10.45am)
