You’re invited to the opening of the Crooke Street Wetlands in East Bairnsdale, 11.00 am on Thursday 11 December.  

The event will feature a ribbon cutting, speeches, photo opportunities and a ceremonial tree planting led by East Gippsland Shire Council’s Youth Ambassadors.  

This project has created a functional wetland that improves water quality, reduces pollution in the Jones Bay Wildlife Reserve and enhances biodiversity in an area that is home to over 100 bird species, including important migratory birds.
