The Youth Art Prize (YAP) is dedicated to empowering young artists by providing a platform to showcase their work to the region.
Launching in October 2025, East Gippsland Shire Council is calling on all young artists aged 12–25 to share their vision, talent, and creativity. More than just a competition, the YAP is a vibrant celebration of youth, connection, and the transformative power of art, while honouring the diversity of artistic voices and the narratives that can be told through creative expression.
Through this initiative, we aim to foster creativity, encourage self-expression, and create a space for young people to learn, grow, and connect with like-minded individuals.
Whether through pencil, paint, photography, digital illustration, or 3D visuals, the YAP is open to all forms of artistic expression. It’s a unique opportunity to inspire and empower young artists to share their creativity, amplify their voices, and celebrate their individuality.
Whether you're an aspiring artist or a seasoned creator, now is your moment to let your creativity speak and be part of a movement that highlights the importance of youth in shaping the future of art and culture.
