East Gippsland Shire Council is hosting information sessions to help people with their Community Grants applications.

The latest round of Community Grants is now open with applications closing on Wednesday, March 3.

The information sessions will be online, so interested people can take part from anywhere. The information sessions will run for one hour and be held on Monday, February 15 from 6pm and Tuesday, February 16 from 10am.

The sessions will be held in Microsoft Teams. You do not need to download the program to join the session, just click the link on council’s Grants webpage, www.eastgippsland.vic.gov.au/community/grants

Community Grants funding is available in three categories: Community Projects; Arts and Heritage; and Regional and District Event Sponsorship. Some of the grants require a dollar-for-dollar contribution, half of which can be a non-monetary, in-kind contribution.

Grants are available to community groups, clubs, facility managers, event managers and, for some arts and heritage grants, individuals.

Council offers two rounds of applications each financial year, generally opening in January and June.
