Mallacoota residents and park users are invited to help shape the long-term direction of the Mallacoota Foreshore Holiday Park, with informal drop-in sessions offering an opportunity to share what people value most and what should be carefully considered as future planning progresses.
Council is working with specialist planning consultancy ODIN360 to develop a long-term master plan to guide the park’s future care, improvements and decision-making. Community feedback gathered through these sessions will play an important role in shaping the plan.
Mayor Cr Jodie Ashworth said the sessions are an important opportunity to hear directly from those who know and value the park.
“Right now, we’re at the listening stage. These informal drop-in sessions are about understanding what people value most about the holiday park and what should be carefully considered as planning progresses,” Cr Ashworth said.
Two drop-in sessions will be held at the caravan park’s Block 2 Camp Kitchen near the playground. Session one is for people staying at the holiday park, while the second is open to the broader community:
• Park user drop-in session: Friday 10 April, 10.30 am – 12.00 pm
• Community drop-in session: Monday 13 April, 10.30 am – 12.00 pm
“We’ve already received strong community input through our summer survey, and these upcoming sessions will build on that by sharing what we’ve heard so far and continuing the conversation in person,” Cr Ashworth said.
No registration is required, and people are welcome to attend at any time during the session.
