This survey is in reference to the Dogs in Public Places trail which has taken place in many areas across shire over the last 12 months.

Your feedback will help Council when it considers the merits of making the dogs in public places program permanent. 

In December 2019, Council implemented a trial for dogs to be allowed off-leash in certain areas throughout the municipality.

Council recognises that pets are an integral part of many people’s lives and is actively seeking new and innovative ways to support pet owners and to harness the recognised health and social benefits of responsible pet ownership and would be grateful to hear your feedback on how you think the trial went. This feedback will help Council when it considers the merits of making the program permanent within East Gippsland Shire.

Meaning dogs will continue to be allowed off-leash in many areas across the Shire.
