Current Status:

We are holding a series of workshops to provide community members with the opportunity to have their say about the future of the shire.

How will my feedback be used?

Every four years councillors develop a Council Plan that sets the major direction for Council and every year sets an Annual Budget, with a planned out capital works program. The feedback provided in these workshops, along with feedback collected through the recently conducted community perceptions survey, will inform the development of the Council Plan 2021-25 and will be used to the review the Community Vision. While information will be provided about how people can provide input towards the Annual Budget 2021/22, including the 2021/22 capital works program.

Who is running the workshops?

The workshops will be supported by an independent facilitator who will endeavour to ensure all voices are heard and that we make the best use of your valuable time.

East Gippsland Shire Councillors and Senior Council Officers will be present at the workshops to listen to your ideas and answer any questions you might have about these key strategic documents that will guide the work of the Council over the next four years and beyond.

What will be discussed in the workshops?

These workshops will be open to all interested community members and will explore a range of topics to help us understand the aspirations, needs, values and priorities of our community.

Where and when will the workshops be held?

To ensure the workshops are accessible to as many community members as possible the workshops are being held from late February to early March 2021 in five locations across the shire.
