Influenza Vaccination Program

Influenza vaccines are available annually through the Shire Immunisation Program.

Flu vaccines will be available at our regular community sessions from May to December.


The 2020 flu vaccination season will start from May due to evidence showing our peak flu season is in August to September.


Eligibility for free influenza vaccination in 2020

People eligible for free influenza vaccine:

  • Children aged six months to less than five years - Victorian government funded
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged from six months
  • All adults aged 65 years and over
  • People aged six months and over who have certain medical conditions which increase the risk of influenza disease complications; for example, severe asthma, lung or heart disease, low immunity or diabetes
  • Pregnant women (during any stage of pregnancy).
