Sing-along fun at free bushfire recovery concert

Thursday 13 February

Forge Theatre and Arts Hub presents ‘Superstars Celebration’, a free bushfire recovery sing-along concert celebrating the sounds of the ‘60s and ‘70s.

Join host Lisa Budin Price to sing your heart out during this hour-long spectacular on Thursday, March 5, from 11am.

Lisa Budin Price is a fabulous entertainer with a beautiful voice, likened to the smooth vocals of Karen Carpenter, and will lead the audience through a collection of ‘60s and ‘70s classics like California Dreaming, Dancing Queen and What a Wonderful World.

With a free morning tea in the Forge Theatre foyer from 10.30am, the show is tipped to be packed with the music, stories and swagger of two of the most exciting decades in music.

Mayor Cr John White said it’s a fantastic opportunity and a great initiative of the Forge Theatre.

“We’d love to see residents, both local to Bairnsdale and outlying communities, come and enjoy themselves for an hour, have a good time and let their hair down,” Cr White said.

“It’s going to be a great event and will be a much-needed breath of fresh air for many residents who’ll leave with a retro spring in their step.”

Tickets are free but bookings are essential. Book now by calling 5152 1482, visiting eastgippsland.vic.gov.au/forgetheatre or in person at Bairnsdale or Lakes Entrance Visitor Information Centres, Council’s Customer Service Centres, or the Forge Theatre Box Office.
