$70m road upgrades for East Gippsland

Throughout April and May VicRoads is seeking feedback from the community to identify issues along major road networks in East Gippsland.

The Australian and Victorian Governments recently announced major upgrades to the Great Alpine Road from Bruthen to just east of Mount Hotham ($10m), Monaro Highway ($10m) and Princes Highway East of Sale ($50m).

VicRoads is looking to identify improvement works that contribute to route safety, accessibility and reliability for all modes of transport, along with neighbourhood amenity and economic activity.

Community feedback sessions will be held as follows:

  • Lakes Entrance Mechanics Hall: 2pm-8pm, 19 April - presentations at 2.30pm, 4.30pm and 7pm with light refreshments to follow each presentation;
  • East Gippsland Field Days, Bairnsdale Aerodrome: 28 and 29 April; and
  • Bairnsdale St Mary's Parish Hall: 2pm to 7pm, 3 May.

If you are unable to attend a community feedback session and would like to submit feedback to VicRoads, you can download a feedback form or project bulletin below.
