What can you do?

People are the first step in disaster resilience, by taking responsibility for preventing, preparing for, responding to and recovering from disasters.  You can do this by drawing on resources.

Disaster resilience is significantly increased by active planning and preparing for threats to your community.  The development of Local Incident Management Plans (LIMPS) are a key part of this process.

Be prepared and plan ahead, RediPlan prepared by Red Cross is available to assist you to prepare for an emergency.

Volunteering and being involved in community emergency management increases your ability to cope and respond.
