Emergency Information and Resources




The VicEmergency website  has been updated for the coming summer and provides one centralised location for warnings and information provided by the CFA and SES.  The site is a one-stop shop providing information on traffic hazards, planning, preparedness and recovery information.

Additionally VicDeaf provides information for community members who may be deaf and hard of hearing.  The Deaf Emergency Information Resource which provides up to date information on bushfire, flood, storm and heat.  It also has a link to emergency calls via the National Relay Service.  Click here for access.

*VicRoads web application for road closures during emergencies

The VicRoads web application is map-based to clearly show all current road closures and on-road incidents. Users will be able to find out which roads are closed and why, and the exact start and end point for the closures. The information is also accessible on web-enabled mobile phones, such as smartphones.


During emergencies such as fire or flood, VicRoads is responsible for providing information about freeways, highways and major roads, along with local or Council roads.
