East Gippsland's libraries 'feel the love'
2012 is the National Year of Reading and the theme is ‘Love 2 Read’.
To encourage greater use of council’s libraries and reading material, and also to promote the launch of the National Year of Reading, libraries within the East Gippsland Shire will conduct a random prize draw of all users who borrow reading material on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2012. The more items that are borrowed, the greater chance of winning a prize.
The main prize, a $50 Kmart voucher, will go to one lucky borrower across the region. There will also be $20 book voucher prize draw for Bairnsdale library, the mobile library and each of the Library/Business Centres at Lakes Entrance, Orbost, Paynesville, and Omeo. Because the mobile library only visits a small number of sites on that day, one lucky borrower will be selected from the all mobile sites over a two-week period.
Friends of the Library members at both Bairnsdale and the Paynesville will be present to provide a friendly chat and Morning tea for borrowers from 10am - 11:30am on Tuesday, February 14. Winners will be drawn at 4.30 pm on the day.
