Friday 15 February : Umpire Strikes Back & Sarah Jones, Forestech, Kalimna

Dennis Coard is back in East Gippsland!

On a journey from the autobiographical to the absurd, this show introduces lots of Dennis’s much loved characters eg old Digger, Maurie fields& John breaklaws.

 Not to be missed!

Plus modern ventriloquist Sarah Jones.

This quirky comedy will prove puppets aren’t just for kids.

Using a blend of magic, music and unashamed dorkiness this show is fast paced and funny.

Friday 17 May : Alex Burns & Jen Hawley Band, Forestech, Kalimna

A fantastic cross road of rural blues meets early jazz, the rhythmic dexterity resonating with elements of blues, jazz, gypsy swing, calypso and sega, resulting in intelligent fun. Add original compositions, a disarming talent for humour and casually sharing historical facts with their audiences…this show has folks knowing more and wanting more!

Friday 6 September : Irwell Street String Band, Lakes Entrance Mechanics Hall

The Sweetest String Band in town….

..two guitars, occasionally some ukulele, and of course swinging double bass, led by the delightfully vintage voiced jazz vocalist Hetty Kate. Sweet, sentimental and sassy songs plucked from the scrapbooks of Tinseltown, the well trodden paths of wartime Britain and the colourful beaches of South America – songs you’ll remember from your childhood – and songs you may not have heard before.

This band is worth a listen – guaranteed to have you smiling and tapping your feet!

Friday 8 November, Bluegrassy Knoll, Lakes Entrance Mechanics Hall

Back by popular demand!

Bluegrassy knoll recreate the magic, romance and fun of the silent movie era. Their performance will feature three of Buster Keaton’s short films, The Boat, Cops & One Week. Each movie is accompanied by a masterful original, show specific sound track. Their musicianship, creativity, sense of humour and timing conspire to create a live experience unsurpassed in any modern day event.
