The East Gippsland Shire Regional Youth Plan 2011-2013

The East Gippsland Shire Council along with the East Gippsland Regional Strategy Group is committed to engaging with young people in the development of their future, and that of the community in general.

The Regional Youth Plan  is the result of direct engagement with young people and is based on the thoughts, needs and aspirations expressed by the youth of our region.

The Plan also describes a process for ongoing involvement with young people in decision making which directly affects their lives and those of their families and communities.

The Plan is based on three guiding key concepts. These are:

Collaboration between all participants;

Connection through meaningful and enduring engagement and

Commitment by all involved to provide leadership in their area of expertise and understanding.
